First and foremost - a true professional!! A great celebrant will not only create and deliver an incredible ceremony; however they will work with your entire team of suppliers to execute your vision. They will work with your venue to ensure you have a flawless entrance and to greet your guests. Your photographer to make sure there is nothing in the way of the perfect shot. Your musicians to ensure the timing is perfected, and your florist to help with any last minute details and pinning those buttonholes!

Generally I would suggest booking your celebrant 12-18 months in advance to ensure you get your chosen date and to give you plenty of time of enjoy the process! With that being said, we can organise your special day with as little as 5 weeks notice, pending my availability.
When organising your wedding, don’t forget to secure the big three first - Venue, Celebrant, Photographer. Once these three are locked in, you will find it is much easier to make other arrangements knowing your exact date, timings and location.

It is a legal requirement within Australia to complete and submit the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage Form) to your celebrant at least 30 days prior to your wedding. From here I will take care of all the legal requirements with ‘Births, Deaths and Marriages’ and will guide you through any specific requirements for you and your partner.

Once we have secured your date, you will have access to your personalised wedding planning portal, which contains everything you need to get Hitched with Heids! Here in this one place, you will find everything from the legal paperwork, to our emails, invoices and details required in the lead up to the big day. Simply follow this step-by-step process that you can work through in your own time and I will take care of the rest! From here we will have a planning meeting 2-3 months prior to the big day to finalise all of the exciting details.

Absolutely! Your vows are a reflection of your unique relationship, and I always encourage couples to write their own! You have the freedom to create your vows completely from scratch or to mix and match some examples from my ‘vow cheatsheet’. Remember, there is no right or wrong and I am always here for any advice or support!
